I lost alot of strength.........

Well about a week ago, I woke up and felt like a truck hit me, so I went back to bed and felt fine 2hours later. Well that did not last long because my body was hurting again, I had a headache and was extremely fatigued. The next day I could not keep anything in my stomach for more then 10min; I actually went to the bathroom 20 times in a 24 hour period. That night I had a temperature of 102.4. All of this lasted about a week, I went back to the gym today, and my strength is pathetic. I have been doing FDB bench with 80s for a few weeks and today I could not get them off my chest. How long until I get my strength back?

Re: I lost alot of strength.........

You are more than likely dehydrated. First off get water and pedialite in ya. Secondly give it a few days off. Make sure your meals are regular and your strength ought to come back.

Don't worry...your body needs to heal first. I say a week or two at most you'll be good as used!! You'll be fine. Malley is right though. you need to get some help in your system.

Re: I lost alot of strength.........

well i am glad i have been keeping track of my gym and food progress because i was looking back to about 2 months and thats when i started losing progress in my bench, i am sure being sick for a week didnt help. The week before i got sick i had 3 sets of 10 @115lbs. The day i return (Monday) i get 10/9/8 @115lbs. However, the next time (thursday) i got worse 9/7/7? My preacher curls also got weaker. Before i was sick i could Flat DB bench 200lbs 2 times now after being sick i can only do 160lbs 2 times. I made no progress in my first week back if anything i got weaker. I also noticed something, i stoped making progress when i lowered my calories by 500. Should i raise them back up? Or is there something else going on that i am not seeing? I was thinking about resetting the weight for my bench and work back up, or should i give my body another week to see if my strength comes back?

I did alot better the other day 7/6/6 on Flat DB bench and my other exercises are back up to par. Anyone have input on my calorie situation?
