Maximum Results...

I am looking for a border-line powerlifting routine that will give me maximum results from my workouts. I'm already pretty well-built, but I want to be insanely big and can't seem to get the results I'm looking for with my routine. Due to my work schedule, I only make it to the gym about 3 or 4 times a week and many times I can't get a spotter. My work days change from week to week, so getting a workout partner is nearly impossible and those lazy SOBs at work wouldn't touch a barbell if their life depended on it... Any suggestions/hints would be much appreciated...

Re: Maximum Results...

3-4 times a week is the max you should be in the gym anyway. a powerlifting routine like Westside puts you in the gym for no more than 4 days a week.

also, if you want to get big then start eating big. you get big in the kitchen - not the gym.

Re: Maximum Results...

Actually, I only hit the gym 3 or 4 days out of the week, but I divide my workouts into 2 sessions on those days and target 1 muscle per session. I seem to get more out of my workouts this way, instead of doing 2 muscles at the same time.
Thanks for the info; I have started eating more complex carbs and taking in more calories. Initially I was concerned that this would put some unwanted size around my mid section, but my waiste-line has actually slimmed down, while the muscle is slowly growing...

I couldn't help to notice that protein wasn't mentioned. Tell us more about how much protein you eat daily.

Re: Maximum Results...

If you want to increase size you dont need a powerlifting routine. Put something together for hypertrophy.
