BUT THE WEIGHTS BETWEEN FLAT AND INCLINE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!

My upper chest isn't bad, but could be better. It's pretty much the same with everyone. One thing to remember is that muscle hangs down wards due to gravity so if you have an even amount of muscle across your chest from upper to lower, it would still appear to be more developed at the bottom and less at the top! The tru way to know if you have good mass for upper is to do a most-muscular or side chest pose - that way the muscle is flexed and no lower under the influence of gravity and you can get a true evaluation of whether you do actually have a well developed upper. On the other hand, to actually see a visible upper chest that LOOKS developed while relaxed, you would need to build the muscle up so much that it becomes very thick - and you'll only get that with time, age and FULL development of the whole pectoral, not many young guys are walking round with great upper chests, believe me! (unless they're taking AAS which I don't recommend

| Bodybuilder | Re: Upper chest not as big Start with incline if you feel the need to. If I were you though, I'd focus on gaining overall mass instead of worrying about weaknesses yet.

| Bodybuilder | Re: Upper chest not as big vary the incline/decline of the bench press now and then. different angles hit different muscle fibres and gives you a nice variation every other week. dont just stick to the same exercise for months on end or you wont progress.

Change it up every so often like Chris stuart said, for example one week do flat barbell and dumbbell incline and another week do flat dumbbell and barbell incline and for lower switch between decline stuff and dips.
