Deadlifting a car

How much would you say you'd have to deadlift to deadlift the back of a car, like an Impala? Just imagine walking outside and seeing your neighbor deadlifting their car. HOLY SHIT is what I'd be thinking. But back to question, what do you all think?

Bodybuilding is an extreme lifestyle. It must be your top priority. You have to want it to be at the top. Most people won't choose the path these people take, and that's just one less person to compare myself to.

Re: Deadlifting a car

Moved to powerlifting/strongman forum for better response.

I have no clue but most normal size cars around between 2800-3400lbs so I'd guess lifting the back end would be like dead lifting 800-1000lbs but I'm just guessing.

Re: Deadlifting a car

Well, if it's got a handle and stuff attached like they do in strongman competitions, I'd say really strong grip + maybe 700+ for a large car like that. I know Marius reps out the little cars like they're nothing.

It will also depend on how far the handle is from the car, and how much of the car is actually going up.

Re: Deadlifting a car

Haha, that would be awesome just going outside and repping your car.

Re: Deadlifting a car

I sure would like to flip my neighbor's car! Goddamn car alarm blaring at night, can't sleep, and I anticipate the damn thing going off. I'm going to flip that S.O.B. before the year is done!!!
She's a ex-bodybuilder, stripper bitch that have assholes coming over every night and that car alarm going off! She won't cut it off with her hand-held switch! I may put her ass in the car when I turn it over! LOL

There is a website that gives very good info on strength training.
Oldtime Strongman Training. I'm new at this so I can't set up the link.
