R.I.P. Jesse Marunde!

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I just got to know that famous strongman Jesse Marunde passed away after a training session at his home 25th July at the age of 27. He was a great athlete and I'm sure he will be missed by his friends, fans and first of all, his family. RIP Marunde!

Thank you for letting us know. I myself was a fan of Jesse, I used to watch him ang Marius go at it in the WSM competitions.

I am sure he is looking down on the world right now and whispering in the ear of lifters everywhere, telling them to go for that next rep!! He will be missed by all who knew of him

Just watched the comp this weekend and man it was otthe same this year..I knew he would win eventually so that is one of the reasons I watched...But pudge is a beast one title number 4......pfister didd not know what hit him...R.I.P. JESSE.....IT will not be the same without you...my prayers outto your family

Jesse was probably my favorite strongman. It's sad that last year he was talking that his training and perfect dieting has been paying off, and he was amazing last year, and I was sure he would win in 2007... But, he didn't get his chance. R.I.P. Jesse
