Re: Glossary of Nutritional Terms

Quote:
Nubain
Bodybuilding steroid. Real name is Nalbuphine Hydrochloride. A lot of bodybuilders get addicted to Nubain, as it helps them relax or sleep better. It makes them feel like they can really relax, especially during the times when you are stressed before a contest preperation. You inject it.

Nubain is NOT a steroid.
Nalbuphine hydrochloride belongs to a group of medicines called opioids. Opioids mimic the effects of naturally occurring pain reducing chemicals (endorphins). They combine with the opioid receptors in the brain and block the transmission of pain signals. Therefore, even though the cause of the pain may remain, less pain is actually felt. Opioids are commonly used to relieve the pain of heart attack, injury, surgery and terminal diseases.
It is no longer made due to the high addiction rate in people.

Very addictive and from past experience the best thing I have ever taken.

GREAT THREAD!!!!
