a little padding over the abs

Well, im happy to say that since october ive gained 10lbs(im being serious), but now i want to work on some target areas, i.e. my abs. Since ive gained a lil bit of weight i have a little bit of ''padding'' on my abs/ stomach area (if u pulled on it about 1 inch tops) not that much but if i do ab excersizes will it burn off a little of that fat or build muslce under the fat and make me look fat?

You can't target your abs specifically to lose fat.

Do some cardio, lower your caloric intake, you'll lose the fat.

You're gonna look fat as long as you have it. Just keep doing your exercises, but as Muck said, know that you can't spot reduce. Consume less calories than you burn. Do cardio.
