Supposedly, in people who are prone to it, increased blood protein levels can increase water retention and constrict "sebum canals", which result in pimples. I'm not too up-to-date on the subject.

Of course, to increase blood protein levels, you'd have to have excess protein in your system, so you may just have to monitor whether or not you're getting too much. You don't need a protein shake if you already have enough protein in your diet.

Thank you very much. I had a normal diet...but when I started drinking soy protein(25g a day)...my face is full of little pimples. I have to stop.

Could be the type of protein as well, most dairy products make me breakout like a teenage trekkie (instead of the adult trekkie I am). I find whey isolate is OK but any of the other formulas they have like whey concentrate gives me acne, soy from what I have heard has a fair bit of estrogen as well so could create a hormonal imabalance for you if you are taking soy.

If you're a male, stop with the soy protein and get a good whey isolate protein. Soy contains plant versions of estrogen...perhaps your body sees that and increases testosterone to keep a balance, and that's causing your acne.
