Plateau's

By everyone saying they are scared of plateau's...what does that mean? Does it mean something like my problem? My problem is the first 2 months i started my diet and excercising i lost around 20 pounds and now im eating healthier than i was in those other 2 months and excercising more and more differently so why am i not losing any more weight.

Sometimes during the first 2 months while i was losing all my weight i ate the school's lunch which was chicken fingers and fries then sometimes it was potato wedges and pizza and lost weight still and i just at like around 3 meals a day. Now i eat 5-6 smaller meals and not losing weight i eat mostly chicken fish lean meats veggies and fruits. Then once a week when i have my reward meal. So whats the deal if you understand what all im talking about?

the first month or two are what most people would consider your "newbie" gains, its when you lose the most cause your bosy isnt used to doing any excersise, after a few months your body does what its best at, that is it adapts to the excersise, if you feel its going slow try mixing up your diet and excerises so you can get out of it, if that doesnt work just keep at it and you will break your plateau and you will get back to your losses or gains what ever your doing.

Tae bo is very good I reccomend it, but I warn you...Billy is tough :P Funny, but tough :P

Maybe look into some weights, you posted your age somewhere, and you're about my age, so it shouldn't effect your growth or anything. Maybe just get a couple of 5 pounders. Just make sure you warm up before doing weights, warm down, and stretch. Possibly even stretch before, but I dunno if stretching before is good or not.
Also, possibly invest in a dance video

I got taebo Jam, and i checked caloriesperhour.com you can lose 800 calories in an hour of moderate taebo workout!! WHOA!

While with brisk walking you'll just lose 300 calories!

makes me sweat like a pig. im pretty sure it's moderate taebo, coz that's the lowest type of taebo workout in the list.. the others are vigorous and very vigorous.

im gonna do it twice a day if i can! i wanna lose weight before the end of march.. I have to coz my friends are gonna come visit me. I gained weight ever since I moved here and I really really have to lose weight!

Manderus, try something for me

Take a break, stop what your doing for a week. Continue eating well.

Also, have you noticed you feel ill more than usual? Maybe your muscles twitching?

Take a break, make sure your not overtraining.

By all means, you should be losing unless your eating too little calories. Lets explore the overtraining avenue first and foremost.
