Rep Power: 0 | | | newbie question what is bench press.
is it the thing where you are lying on your back on a bench and then lift the weight above your chest. if so then what would be incline bench press.
also if i get the bench press idea correct then , in bench press do you just basically lift and lower weight or do you have to take care to not relax some muscles
also is benchpress more effective then this other echest exercise in which you put your forearms on pads(on your sides) and then bring the arms together in front of you
i'd appreciate if someone could enlighten |

And incline bench press is when you have the bench at an incline (slant) so that you're lifting at different angles from your chest. Quote: |

| There are some rules of form, most namely keep your back on the bench, extend the weight the full range-of-motion, and keep a spotter (helper) with you when you're doing heavier weights.
Some trainers suggest flexing at the top of the concetric motion. Other than that, it's pretty much about lifting and lowering the weight Quote: |

| Not "more effective" really, but rather, targetting different parts of the chest muscles and synergist muscles used in those motions. Ideally, your workouts combine multiple exercises rather than focusing on a single exercise. |

Please, don't say an insect/bug!
