What Works for You?

2 things:

1. there are multiple ways to train.

2. it takes time to measure just how effective one of those ways of training works for you.

with that in mind, only some people can actually answer the above question. some people just haven't trained long enough to know what works best for them. i'd hazard a guess that most people would have to train for a minimum of 2 months just to be able to measure a training technique.

i've been training now for over 7 years and i can now see if various training techniques are working/giving me the desired effects. for the last 2-3 months, i've been traing with a style that incorporates and slow negative on all movements, a slight pause and then an average speed in the positive portion of the movement (not too fast but not too slow). this i think is one of the best training methods i've used. i feel more work being done by all of my muscle groups, even though i am using less weight than in the past.

so, those of you that still haven't used certain methods of training, theres some food for thought - could you yeild better results if you swapped things around? approached workouts differently?

thats my 2 cents for today. i'm off to eat and watch a dvd!! :)
